The following dos and accessories rock any musical festival. The dos require minimal time, plus the accessories are beyond affordable. Best of all, these styles will withstand any steamy scene while ensuring a carefree, whimsical style that out-selfies anyone!
The Festive Five
Two necessary accessories are used in all of these styles: elastics to secure the braids, and pins to help with buns and other formations. Use colorful pins to add flair. Real or plastic flowers can be added, and glitter gives your hair a unique sparkle. Going with one’s creative flow is the only way to go.
The Bun Braid Crown
This looks begins with the hair around the nape being split into two parts. The remaining hair goes up in a pin. Next, the two sections are braided into thin braids. The rest of the hair gets pushed back into a loose ponytail then pinned into a loose bun. After this, the braids wrap around the bun, secured by pins.
French Braid Twist
This do is a mix of two style classics, the French braid and the French twist. It begins with a simple French braid in the front that eventually moves to the side, kept loose. The remaining hair should be twirled into the French twist at the top of the head, twisting toward the braid. Pins maintain the twist formation.
Fancy at the Festival
This look begins with a part, wherever desired. A lifting spray coats various back sections of hair. The hair on the front of the head remains flat. Next, the sprayed hair should be teased, and then put into a ponytail while maintaining the teased top.
The Sunkiss
This style starts with a low ponytail. The wearer’s hair should wrap around the ponytail elastic. The back of the head right above the ponytail should be filled with five colorful bobby pins forming an arched sunburst pattern.
Princess Leia’s Tiny Buns
This smaller version of the iconic do starts with two pigtails. Each pigtail is placed into rope braids secured with clear elastics. Wrap the braids into small buns on the side of the head and secure with pins as needed.
